Class Length: 4 weeks, 10am – 12:30pm each Monday,  beginning July 6th
Tuition: $135 (+ $65 materials fee)

Class Description: Curious about the pottery wheel but not ready for a longer class commitment? This class is the perfect, short introduction to the fundamentals of working with clay on the wheel. Designed for complete beginners, this hands-on course will guide students step-by-step through the essential techniques needed to create their first functional pottery.

Week one, we focus on centering and making cylinders.
Week two, we learn how to trim, make a bowl, and play with slip.
Week three, we trim again and make a plate and practice cylinders and bowls again.
Week four, we trim what’s left and walk through glazing/finishing.

By the end of the course, participants will have a strong foundation in wheel throwing and several handmade ceramic pieces. Come ready to get a little muddy, learn a lot, and discover the joy of making pottery!

Age Limitations: Ages 15 & Up
