Whether you’re completely new to clay or looking to sharpen your existing skills, this class is designed for beginner to intermediate students eager to explore the pottery wheel. In this guided, hands-on course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of centering clay, pulling walls, and shaping basic forms like bowls, cups, and plates. Intermediate students are encouraged to set personal goals and refine their throwing techniques with instructor support. This is a short summer-session designed as a great introduction to the medium of clay and the art of throwing on the potter’s wheel. By the end of the class, you’ll have a small collection of finished, glazed pieces to take home — and a solid foundation for continuing your ceramic journey.
