Description
Class Length: 6 weeks, meets 10am – 1pm each Sunday, June 8th
Tuition: $220 (+$60/Materials)
Class Description: Students will explore the nature of clay and glazes, hand-building methods, throwing on the potter’s wheel, decorative process, and glaze application. This class provides group instruction and demonstrations and encourages students to evolve at their own level and speed. This is a great class if you have just a little experience with clay and want to build your skills, but also a great class for Intermediate students looking for independent study with occasional guidance. If you are looking for a true beginner class only, we suggest “Ceramic Foundations” on Monday mornings or “Wheel Throwing” on Thursday evenings.
Age Limitations: Ages 16 & Up
Supplies Included: Tuition covers 25 lbs of clay, use of studio glazes, all firings, and use of communal tools and equipment.
Additional Supplies: You will need your own basic ceramic tool kit, available for purchase at the center for $30.
