Class Length: 6 weeks, meets 6:30pm-8:30pm each Monday, beginning July 28th
Tuition: $170 (+ $60 materials fee)
Class Description: Discover the endless possibilities of clay in this dynamic ceramics class designed just for teens! Students will learn the fundamentals of both wheel throwing and hand-building sculpture techniques in a fun, supportive environment. We’ll start by covering the basics of working on the pottery wheel — from centering clay to creating bowls, cups, and small vessels. Alongside wheel work, students will explore hand-building methods like pinch, coil, and slab construction to bring their creative ideas to life in sculptural form. Participants will gain hands-on experience with essential tools, surface decoration techniques, and glazing methods, while developing their own artistic style. No prior experience is necessary — just a willingness to get your hands dirty and experiment!
Age Limitations: Ages 13-16
Supplies Included: Tuition covers clay, use of studio glazes, all firings, and use of communal tools and equipment.
Additional Supplies: Each student will need their own basic ceramic tool kit available for purchase at the store for $30- We recommend you purchase prior to day one of class!
