Pastels 101-Beginners- 3 hours, 6 weeks

Skill Level: Beginners

Class Length: 6 weeks, 10am – 1pm each Wednesday

Class Description: This course is an introduction to painting with vibrant pastel pigment primarily using pastel pencils. Students will explore and practice demonstrated pastel application and blending techniques through guided completion of one chosen piece. The course will also review fundamentals like using reference photos, gridding, color basics, light and shadow, depth and perspective. 

Students are required to purchase materials listed before January 29th, as well as bring reference photos sized to 8×10 for their final project.

Due to the fact that students will have to order supplies for class, the cut off to register for this class is January 22nd.

Age Limitations: Ages 16 & Up

Supplies Included: table easels, practice paper; various application and blending tools. **pastels and Uart paper will not be provided**

Additional Supplies: Students are required to purchase materials listed in the below, highlighted attachment, before January 29th, as well as bring reference photos sized to 8×10 for their final project.
