Description

Class Length: One day, 6pm – 8pm

Class Description: We’ve all been there. You sit at the potter’s wheel, you don’t know what to make, so you make the same bowl-shape that you’ve made 100 times. It gets boring… monotonous…and you just can’t think of how to ‘spice’ it up in the moment. You need ideas! Well, than this is the workshop for you! I will show you how to jazz up your bowl creations in a variety of ways. From adding slip, using texturing tools, altering the rims, altering the shapes, and more. You will learn how to break free of the bowl-making slump! Students should already know how to center and make basic bowl forms and come prepared with several bats or a bat system to work efficiently and quickly.

Age Limitations: Ages 16 & Up

Supplies: Students should bring their own pottery tools, bats, apron and towel. Clay is provided.

Teachers: Deb Balestreri

Seating Limit: 12
