Class Length: One day, 6pm – 8pm, Friday May 1st

Class Description: Ready to turn ordinary bowls into something bold and exciting? In this fun, fast-paced throwing workshop, you’ll learn creative ways to spice up your bowls on the pottery wheel. Perfect for beginner to intermediate throwers, this one-night class focuses on shaping, altering, and adding personality to functional forms. Students will throw several bowls and explore techniques to elevate them—think flared rims, textured surfaces, altered edges, and playful finishing touches. We’ll also discuss ideas for decoration and surface treatments that make bowls stand out, whether they’re for serving, ramen night, or simply showing off your style. By the end of the evening, you’ll have a collection of unique bowls and a handful of new techniques to add flavor to your future pottery.

Great for: beginner–intermediate wheel throwers
Focus: throwing bowls, rim alterations, texture, and creative form

Come ready to get your hands muddy and add a little spice to your pottery!

Age Limitations: Ages 16 through adult
Supplies Included: Students should bring their own clay and tools, an apron and a towel. We also suggest you bring your personal bats or a bat system, otherwise you can use what we have here but must remove the bowls from the bats by the end of the night.
