Handbuilding Discovery Night – September 19th

Class Length: One day, 6pm -8:30pm on September 19th

Class Description: Discover how versatile—and surprisingly relaxing—working with clay can be! Handbuilding Discovery Night is the perfect introduction to ceramics for anyone who loves creating with their hands. No pottery wheel required! Using slabs, simple forming techniques, and texture tools, you’ll create a functional or decorative ceramic piece while learning the foundations of handbuilt pottery in a fun, welcoming studio.

Tonight’s focus will be on making a coil-built vase.
No experience is necessary, and we’ll provide everything you need, including clay, tools, glazing, and firing. Just bring your creativity and be ready for a few hours of laughter, conversation, and hands-on fun. You’ll leave with a new appreciation for the possibilities of clay—and in a few weeks, you’ll return to pick up your professionally glazed masterpiece. For many of our guests, this is just the beginning! If you find yourself inspired to keep creating, our beginner handbuilding classes are the perfect next step to continue exploring techniques, developing new skills, and becoming part of the Corgi Clay Art Center community.

Age Limitations: Ages 14 through adult

Supplies Included: Students should bring their own hand towel and dress comfortably!
