Tuition: $225 (+ $65 materials fee)
Class Description: Discover how simple templates can become the foundation for beautifully crafted ceramic work. In this class, students will learn to transform flat slabs of clay into functional and sculptural pieces using paper and flexible templates. Projects explore cylinders, curves, geometric construction, and organic forms while emphasizing strong craftsmanship, clean assembly, and creative surface decoration. Students will leave with a collection of functional and decorative work while gaining the confidence to design their own templates for future projects.
Age Limitations: Ages 16 & Up
Supplies Included: Tuition covers 25 lbs of clay, use of studio glazes, all firings, and use of communal tools and equipment.
Additional Supplies: Each student will need their own basic ceramic tool kit. We have these available for purchase at the art center for $30 but we recommend you purchase prior to day one of class when we are open to the public, otherwise please bring cash with you to hand to the instructor.
