Description
Class Length: One day, 6pm-8pm on Thursday, December 18th
Class Description: Are you interested in signing up for a weekly class next year but want to try it out first? This is the workshop for you! This is an introductory workshop covering the basic fundamentals of throwing clay on the potters wheel. Designed for beginners, we will cover all the basics and you’ll get a great introduction to using a potter’s wheel. Then, If you turn into a “mud-bug” land love it, you have time to register for the next session! Unlike the “Give it a spin” workshop, you will be able to keep the objects you make! We’ll trim them and glaze them for you and let you know when they are ready to be picked up! Please don’t wear dangling jewelry or flowy sleeves, long hair should be pulled back and wear closed-toed shoes, the floors can get slippery. If you have very long nails, you WILL find wheel throwing difficult so please trim them WAY down. You WILL be getting dirty, so wear an apron or lay a large towel over your lap, or wear clothes you don’t mind getting clay on.
Age Limitations: Ages 14+
Supplies Included: Tuition covers everything but students should bring their own hand towel, apron if you have one, and don’t bother dressing up- you will get muddy!
Teachers: Deb Balestreri
Seating Limit: 10
