Class Description: Learn to create functional ceramics by hand. This 8-week hand building course invites both beginners and returning makers to explore functional ceramics in a relaxed, creative environment. We’ll cover essential techniques like pinch, coil, and slab building—not just as skills, but as tools for storytelling, texture, and form. You’ll learn how to bring your pots to life through organic shapes, layered surfaces, and thoughtful details, all while discovering your personal voice in clay. This class balances guided projects with space for your own creative exploration. You don’t need to master a potter’s wheel to make beautiful, elegant, everyday-use-wares for the whole family to enjoy. You just need time, practice, patience and encouragement, so we’ll see you there!
