Family Potters Wheel Foundations- Beginner – 2 Hour Classes

Class Length: 8 weeks, 4:30pm-6:30pm each Tuesday

Class Description: A basic intro to wheel throwing for teens and families, 13 years of age and over. We’ll cover the foundations of wheel work, including wedging, centering clay, forming cylinders, trimming, pulling handles, surface development, and glazing techniques. Parent-child combo’s in this class are welcome. Both must register individually. No exceptions to 13 year age minimum – kids must be 13 years old before the class start date. Why? Our studio wheels are powerful and kids (and adults) need sufficient strength to learn on them.

Age Limitations: Ages 13 & Up- families welcome to take together

Supplies Included: Tuition covers communal clay, use of studio glazes, all firings, and use of communal tools and equipment.

Additional Supplies: Each student must purchase their own basic ceramic tool kit available for purchase at the store for $30. We highly recommend you purchase the kit during open hours before the first class date!
